Stayed for 3 nights Nov 10-12. Email instructions for access were specific and easy to follow.
The unit itself is very nice. It is half of one of the many duplexes built along the street, but is the second last one, so closer to beach access. Large open upstairs area with a great view of Netarts Bay entrance. Well provisioned with pretty well all accessories in the kitchen, a shelf of games and books (including many books on the local area), lots of kitchen and front room seating, large tv with cable, and even some firewood and kindling for the wood stove. Upstairs is bright and airy with all the large windows.
Small deck off the front of the place and a larger one with a bbq off the back by the kitchen.
3 bedrooms downstairs with 2 - 3 piece bathrooms downstairs and one 2 piece upstairs. Place was clean when we checked in.
We could walk to the beach in a couple of minutes. There you can choose to go south (left) and walk towards Netarts along the bay (10 minute walk to the grocery stores this way), or North (right) along the open ocean with the larger waves and view of the rocks further up the coast towards Oceanview.
Although we didn't do this ourselves, lots of people were clamming and crabbing along the beach.
The duplex is basically a 3 story unit (up on pylons in case of a very high tide), with parking on the first level between the pylons, then stairs to the bedroom level, and another set of stairs to the kitchen/front room level. So maybe not the place for those who have troubles climbing a lot of stairs.
We were very pleased with the accommodations and would stay again.
My extended family (parents from Wyoming, daughter, son-in-law step-granddaughter and grandson) went on vacation with us. The age range was 78-1. The rental has a well stocked kitchen where we cooked all of our meals except dinner. We were pleased to find a baby gate and high chair for our one year old grandson. The weather was fabulous and the views were spectacular. A few of us put together a puzzle and read when we weren't enjoying the beach. The unit had a BBQ where we cooked fresh salmon and halbut. A couple of suggestions: the propane is getting low. Also - there wasn't any bar soap provided for the shower. The finish on the table was sticky so we used a tablecloth and there wasn't many towels. Luckily we brought some extra just in case. It was a great stay and we plan to make traveling to the coast an annual occurrence. Thanks for the memories.
