Just what we were looking for-authentic seafood on the coast. Homemade lemonade and chipotle tarter sauce were the cherry on top.

As you enter Coos bay, you can't miss Fishermans Grotto. We went here to taste their fish and we couldn't ask for anything more. We ordered fish and chips, crab cakes and some other dishes. Together with some fresh lemonade or beer. All very tasty. The portions were huge. We were sharing three dishes with four people and were just about to finish it all. Go here for lunch and you won't be disappointed.
This restaurant is open 7 days a week making it one of a few open on Mondays. Their chowder is excellent and balanced. We enjoyed the sauteed prawns and scallops with tomato, mushroom and parmesan cheese. Our dishes were accompanied with roasted vegetable medley. Draft beer, wine and alcoholic beverages are offered. Kids menu is available. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Generous portions. Fresh cod, but just OK batter for the fish and chips. There was not any seasonings in the batter making it very bland. Tasted the cod on its own and it was very good.
Ordered the Fried Clams meal. The clams were fresh, huge and tasty. Others ordered Fish & Chips and they too were very good.
