We were doing the Bandon to Charleston touring loop and decided to stop for lunch in the small, fishing town of Charleston with hopes for a great fresh seafood meal.
Good points: In the back is a lovely deck with tables with umbrellas. There is also a lawn with picnic tables. They are very dog friendly, providing water bowls for the pooches. The clam chowder was tasty with a touch of thyme
Downside: We both had crab cakes (it's crab season on the west coast) with sides of fries. The fries were average. The crab cakes, although interestingly flavored with mushrooms and onions, had little crab flavor. I suspect too much filler. They were unevenly pan fried adding to a greasy versus crisp texture
So go have a beer and a view. Skip the food
