We decided to eat here as we were staying in the local area and having looked for somewhere suitable online, The Bell Inn seemed to have good reviews so we tried to book for Sunday lunch. Unsurprisingly, it was booked up so we went for an early dinner.
Being as it was Easter Sunday, they had a special Easter menu with plenty to choose from. Many mains to choose from and a selection of four different roasts, all around £15.
For us, at the more expensive end of a pub Sunday Roast but when it's as good as this, no complaints from us! We both had the rib of beef which came juicy and pink; we did order more veg and roast potatoes so not sure what the usual portion size is like but we had plenty!
All desserts were home made and priced around £7; our bill for two (three if you include our 2 year old who we shared our extras with) which included main, desserts and a couple of glasses of wine was around £65 which we thought was okay. We would happily return and pay that again for something so tasty and welcome on a Sunday!
Staff were welcoming and friendly but our only piece of feedback would be to have one person looking after us; the service was absolutely fine but received from around 4 different people.
Would we go back - for sure!!
Would we recommend - yep, no hesitation
Overall, a very good dining experience and an excellent Sunday roast as good as we've had anywhere else. Highly recommended if that's what your looking for.
Well done The Bell Inn and team!!
