“Quality & comfort in Welford-On-Avon”
Reviewed 1 July 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We spent 3 nights here in late May 2015. The studio apartment is an open plan living and sleeping area as it appears in photographs and sits in the A frame roof above a large garage attached to the proprietor’s residence. We didn’t seem to have any trouble finding it in Duck Lane, just go past the sign that indicates access to residents only and the property will be on the right hand side with house appearing as it does in the photograph and Duck Lane finishes in a dead end. Keys were collected from the owner Sheelagh and she greeted us on arrival and explained the features of the apartment before we settled in and kindly provided some advice for local supplies and directions to sites and the like. Professionally presented, clean and attractively set-up for the short-stay traveller it was a most comfortable and enjoyable time. The apartment itself didn’t have a clothes washer, but that might be available elsewhere, and we managed without it, but if needed I suggest enquire with Sheelagh further. There was plenty of room to park, Wifi was effective and the kitchenette (including hotplates, oven and refrigerator) had all you needed for the short term stay and there is a good supply of information about equipment in the studio as well as tourist and local advice. The village is attractive and walking around the backs of properties along the river was a pleasant early evening break and quieter experience after visiting some of the proximate and busier tourist sites of Stratford, Warwick and Coventry.

“A lovely studio in a perfect location”
Reviewed 15 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We booked this accommodation because it looked lovely, and had received some very good reviews. We were not disapponted! Sheelagh and Alan could not have been more welcoming or helpful and the studio itself is light and airy. I had a bit of a problem with the wi-fi but managed to work round it. Sheelagh even offered to let me work in her office which was over and above the call of duty. All in all, a relaxing break in a lovely part of the country. I would recommend this without hesitation. I would also recommen the Bell in the village for wonderful food.

“Highly recommeded”
Reviewed 22 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Orchard Lodge is lovely clean studio apartment in cute village called Welford. It is well equipped with everything you may need, it was warm with under floor heating and the bed was very comfy. Owners are lovely.
It's about 30 minute drive to Warwick Castle, 10 min drive to Stratford upon Avon although we walked along the canal/greenway to get there instead. It's only 4 miles or so and was a nice crisp winters morning.
Lovely pub in the village called the Bell Inn - food was delicious and the place was busy for mid January!
The only thing was that the wifi signal wasn't strong enough for us to really use it, that said I was on a nice break way it so didn't really need the web that much.

A lovely apartment just as described. Very cosy and comfortable for two. Nothing too much trouble for the owners Shelagh and Alan. Lovely friendly village with pleasurable walks and nice pubs to eat in. We could not have asked for more and the price was very reasonable. Thank you for a lovely relaxing stay.

“A wonderful place”
Reviewed 10 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The apartment is situated in a lovely village within easy reach of Stratford Upon Avon.
Superb for walking, cycling and sightseeing.
The apartment itself is exceptionally well-equipped, tastefully decorated and really comfortable.
The owners are extremely nice people and were very knowledgeable about the area. They made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
We will certainly visit again.
