The food was over priced and horrible, the staff were standing around on there phones and not attentive. Avoid.

After a day of hard work a group of friends and I decided to go for a nice dinner somewhere. We ended up in Jamie’s Italian. Although the staff were nice they did not tend the tables very often and it took a long time to even receive the drinks. 2 of us decided to the “house special of the day” this was described to us as a nice smooth creamy sauce With top quality ingredients.” After 40 minutes of waiting we received a bowl with white water inside. There was no flavour. Even though we complained and the chef on the day agreed it shouldn’t have been sent out like that. We were given an option to order another main. This time we went for a safe bet and ordered pizza. Leaving one of our friends eating on their own whilst we waited for a new Maine course.
After another 1 hour waiting as apparently our first pizza cracked and they couldn’t serve it that way so they had to make a second one. When we finally received the pizza the bottom was rock solid and there was a whole plate full of white flour underneath the pizza which also made the meal unadable. After speaking with the manager we were given free desert. I can’t even explain to comment on the dessert. All in all we left hungry and ended up having to go somewhere else to eat.

We had our first visit to Jamie’s Italian for lunch . I chose the house special prawns with pasta and my husband had the rabbit with pasta. I am not sure where Jamie sources his prawns from but they they were totally tasteless and had a strange crunchy texture. My husband had hardly any rabbit just tiny pieces no bigger than a pea. Also the portions were tiny and after leaving we had to buy some more food as we were both hungry. We were very surprised at the poor quality of the food.

Met a friend for lunch here.I chose from the set menu as it was two courses for £11.95 which looked good value for money.I chose the roasted pumpkin soup for a starter and the carbonara for my main. Both were excellent and and reasonable sized portions.I went for the affogato for desert which is vanilla ice cream served with a small espresso coffee. This was an additional £3 but was well worth it as it rounded off the meal perfectly.Would love to pay a return visit some day but it looks as though it might be closing soon which is a shame.

Booked a table for 2 for JAMIE OLIVERS ITALIAN EXPERIENCE apprehensive at first as to news of the restuarant was due to close
But from the point of booking to our leaving we experienced a team dedicated to giving their customers the ITALIAN EXPERIENCE we booked
The food was excellent full of flavour and generous portions and the Staffs attitude was outstanding under the circumstances with not a hint of bad feelings as the were due to be unemployed after Mothers Day
TAKE NOTE OTHER ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE AREA WHERE THE STAFF THINK THEY ARE DOING THE CUSTOMER A FAVOUR ..HERE IS A GREAT TEAM ON THE MARKET SOON ..Ta
Hanks and good luck ...
