Wow…didn’t expect that. A leaflet through the door alerted us to Umame (proving not all junk mail, is junk). The setting is comfortable and pleasant. The staff were superb. The food was delicious. A group of four adults, could not fault a single dish, starters, mains or dessert. Compliments to the chef behind the scene, a hard job done very well. Advertised as ‘Asian fusion’, which I understand means the cuisine combines elements of different culinary traditions. For a starter I’d recommend the chicken Katsu Bao, for the main dish try either the Yakiniku 10oz sirloin or the steamed barramundi. A very good restaurant and slightly different to all the regulars in the Kingston/Hampton Wick area.
