Excellent beer and wine, simple, reasonably priced pub food done really well and friendly staff. Coming back tomorrow night with the family and recommending to locals everywhere.

Really looked forward to eating here for mothers day and the menu looked interesting. Nicely presented starter of gin cured salmon and for the main was sirloin beef roast very disappointed with this though I couldn't even cut it with the knife and you certainly could eat . My partner had the same and it was just as bad! So we returned both meals and were asked if we wanted a replacement but we decided to change to the chicken roast instead. They said we would have to wait an extra 10mins though. So whilst rest of family ate their tasty meals. Finally ours came out when everyone had finished theirs. But as an apology they said we wouldn't need to pay for our replacement meals. It was tasty though. Surely the chef would have been aware when he was carving the beef?? Our desert was gd tho. I would like to have put a better review

The food we had here off the lunch menu was excellent. The lamb was pink and succulent, whitebait not overcooked or coated in breadcrumbs and the crumble on the apples was chunky and crispy, lovely. All 3 courses just £13, fabulous!
The staff were courteous and friendly. Please keep it up.

Three of us went for a meal here this week, Nice friendly reception when you arrive, great atmosphere.
The Menu isn't huge, however much the better for that as the food is well prepared and delicious.

Great location out in the country; a real gem; very friendly staff and great food. I had tea, fish and chip lunch and sticky toffee pudding. OK it's not The Ritz, but all freshly cooked, hot and tasty. Worth every penny & a great place to meet up 4 lunch on a sunny day.
