I had the best day here! I bought my ticket online & there was no queue at all when I arrived. The staff were all lovely & audio guides & maps of the palace & gardens are free. I was free to wander wherever I wanted throughout the palace - unlike many similar attractions most of this palace is open to the public. There are costumed staff going about traditional palace business such as cooking, watering the gardens etc, & I even met Henry VIII himself! They were all happy to pose for photos & very friendly. It gives the place a great atmosphere. The rooms are really well presented with information readily available. The gardens are amazing, the maze much more difficult to get out of than you would expect (I had to take the short cut in the end). The magic garden is a must for the kids (bring towel & swimsuits if it's hot). The rose garden is divine. I really recommend watching one of the documentaries on Hampton Palace available on YouTube before you come - I did this & it really added alot to the experience.
All in all a wonderful day out with outstanding staff & attention to detail. More
