“The perfect getaway!”
Reviewed 18 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The Shepherd's Hut is fabulous - full of character, but very comfortable and practical too. It's defnitely more glamping than camping, with a comfy bed, proper toilet, hot shower and 12V power too! Clive and Thelma are the perfect hosts - helpful and friendly. Being in a field away from the main farm, you are surrounded by countryside, with the only visitors being an intrigued herd of cows (don't worry, there is a fence) and a friendly cat! The breakfast basket from Thelma is a must, although the hut is fully equipped for being self sufficient if you prefer. All in all, we could not recommend the Shepherd's Hut highly enough, and we hope to return.

“Loved it!”
Reviewed 1 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Everything about it was perfect. The welcome was warm and friendly, the huts were perfectly clean and every detail was great including the homemade apple cake and sloe gin.

It was really great to get out of the city and enjoy nature and feel totally secluded. The pheasants and buzzards kept us entertained for a while and so did the friendly cats.

You can get to Frome, Longleat safari and Glastonbury very easily from here but the best tip we recieved was to have food at The George in Nunney.

I fully recommend staying here, we only stayed for two nights but I wish I had booked for longer.

“Cosy, welcoming and superbly fitted out”
Reviewed 14 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We spent the most wonderfully cosy weekend at the secluded Shepherds Hut — it just couldn't have been better! We were met with a warm welcome and a lovely hamper in the hut complete with hot soup!

It was super-cosy with the wood-burner, plenty of logs and coal to see us through the cold nights, very comfy and beautifully kitted out with everything we needed. The fantastic kitchen and shower room in the gypsy caravan all worked a treat.

We couldn't recommend the Shepherd's Hut more, it's a superb haven, especially on a cold and bright winter weekend. We'll certainly be back!
