“Really great cottage”
Reviewed 15 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

A great location for walking into the lovely town of Dulverton. Lots of lovely places to eat & enjoy the local Exmoor ale without driving. Lots of info on days out etc provided by the owner. Little things like the quality of the linen, the constant hot water, the quirky antiques on display and the general atmosphere of the cottage contributed to our enjoyment.

It is a beautiful autumn , the colours of the leaves and bracken are stunning.Tthe walks from the cottage through the woods were so uplifting, coming back to the cosy cottage for tea & cake made it a really wonderful break.
The cottage has parking which is a real bonus.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & hope to visit again.

“Peaceful holiday in a quaint old cottage”
Reviewed 13 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The cottage was easy to find. There is good off road parking for one car. Very close to the centre of the beautiful village of Dulverton. The bedroom is lovely bright and airy with all the facilities you would expect at home. The comfortable bed encourages lazy mornings. A good supply of logs for the wood burning stove in the lounge, great fun to get going for a cosy night in...
Well stocked kitchen for those that want to cook and it is easy to nip out for provisions, but there are a good variety of places round about to eat out. The background heating keeps the cottage comfortably warm and there is plenty of hot water available.
Lots of reading matter, games and films available. Lots of added extras like a picnic basket. Loads of information on things to do and see near and far. Not my first visit and it certainly won't be my last.

“Excellent accommodation in a beautiful location”
Reviewed 2 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Had a wonderful stay at The Coach House, comfortable with a home from home feeling. Well supplied and beautifully furnished. In a brilliant location, just a short walk into Dulverton with its many facilities and a great base to explore the Exmoor National Park. Fresh flowers and biscuits greeted us on arrival, a place to park the car and the dog was welcome too. The owner Lesley sent a very detailed email before arrival containing all of the necessary information and directions. A very big thank you to her.

“great little getaway”

Lovely cottage with off road parking, short walk into Dulverton, was surprised by the size of the town and number of shops, and good road access to all around. Late night Co-op if needed.
Perfect base for walking and visiting Exmoor sights.
Loved the cottage kitchen and the large bedroom upstaires with its well presented en suite. We used the sofa bed and both that and the main bed had very comfortable firm matresses. I offered to take bedding for the sofa bed, not sure if it would be provided othewise as did not see spare bedding there so worth asking. A little damp in the large downstaires bathroom but that's what you get with old cottages.
Great to be able to have the dog there. I took dog beds for her to lay on rather than the carpets, and the kitchen doors can be shut to exclude wet dogs from the rest of the house until dry.
Cottage was very clean, and have never stayed somewhere with so many handy provisions in the cupboards, and plenty of pans etc for cooking, although there are lots of great dog friendly pubs around for eating. Used the wood burner on the last night as was a little chilly (rainy week), again everything provided to get it going.
Only downsides were no mobile connection - but the blurb tells you this unless you are on orange. And its not just this house, connection generally was sporadic while out and about. One of our phones did get sporadic connection on EE at the house. But who wants to be phoned/texted when you're on holiday and there is a pay phonethere for emergencies. The wifi worked although it was a little slow and struggled to upload some things, something to bear in mind if you're taking your work with you!.
Would visit again happily
