We had a wonderful weekend in these cottages - they were very clean and great for our stay. On arrival we found the freezer was broken but the owner sorted this for us very quickly which was brilliant. Having to park a little away from the house made unpacking and packing the car a little challenging and the property could do with a bigger fridge for that many people. Overall we thought it was great and would highly recommend. The owner was very helpful when we booked and answered our questions very quickly.
Our family met up for a few days using Sherwood Cottages as a base.
The accommodation was clean, comfortable and perfect for the group. One couple have two younger children and they stayed in the "hutch" - annex which worked really well as the adults could part on without fear of waking the kids.
Heating and hot water worked fine, the log burning fires were good.
Contact with owner was very simple and any questions were rapidly answered. Detailed information document was easily available.
The local area had several pubs catering for a variety of tastes. Edwinstowe has several takeaways.
Go Ape is nearby and of course Sherwood Forest.
Parking is nearby in the car park and permits were available.
We really enjoyed staying at the cottages and have recommended the property to friends.
The cottages are a really unusual design, but it worked perfectly for our mixed group of adults and little ones. The location is perfect for exploring, an easy walk to Sherwood Forest, and you must make sure you visit the craft centre!
A weekend away with family from 83 to 10 months for my brothers 60th. A great house with everything you could ask for, kids loved getting lost in such a great house.
The village is in a perfect spot with handy parking, shops and amazing food at the forest lodge opposite. 5 mins walk to Sherwood forest visitors centre.
