Me and my partner stayed here for a long weekend (my mum has rented for the week) beautiful cottage nice and cosy. They have everything you need don't have to worry about bringing anything!! Xbox was very fun for the rainy days! Kept us entertained. Gorgeous well looked after home, will definitely return to this cottage. Stayeday seahouses for most of my life on holidays and this is by far one of the best locations I have stayed. Thank you for a memorable weekend.

I work in the pub trade and after a busy Christmas i enjoy nothing more than a nice relaxing holiday, and this was perfect! The cottage is homely comfy and well equipped, our 2 year old daughter was well impressed with the toy selection especially Peppa Pig, I also have to say the bed was probably the most comfortable i have slept in outside my own home. In short great place, home from home.

“Cosy, well equipped cottage, ideal for a small family.”
Reviewed 27 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Stayed for one week. Good communication from owner before we arrived and also after our stay. Cottage was easy to find in a quiet location. Allocated parking for one car (and plenty of space on the road outside too). Cottage was very clean, homely and equipped wth everything we needed for a great family holiday. A short stroll into town and ideal base for exploring the coastline by car, with some of the best beaches we've visited in the UK.

We've been coming to Seahouses now for ten years, usually staying at a nearbye caravan park, but decided to try a cottage instead.
What can I say that others already haven't. We loved this place. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us, provided by the owners, on check in.
Ideal having a bath and a separate shower, shower was a little tight for hubby and son (6ft tall) but was ideal for me. Furnishings very comfortable. Washing machine, iron, hairdryer. Free wifi, xbox, dvd player with a selection of games and movies. well stocked for reading. Loved the finishing touches too, stable door feature in kitchen. Three floors and two flights of stairs certainly kept us fit.
The owners certainly love owls and I kept finding different ones all the time.
Its ideally situated in a quiet area of Seahouses but not too far away to walk into the village.
We parked outside the property a few times but when we couldn't we used the allocated parking space round the back of the property.
Only downside was being no outside drying area if we had the need for one.
We loved the place that much we re-booked for next year.

“Comfort and atmosphere, loved it”

The cottage is delightful: one end of a converted granary with curved roof beams and windows deeply recessed into the stone walls. It was a joy to have two bathrooms and would be a big advantage to a family with children or friends sharing. The beds were very comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean and there were lots of heaters, not that we needed them in the lovely June-July weather. The kitchen was thoughtfully set up, with plastic picnic things as well as regular crockery and cutlery and a good array of cookware. Children would be happy with the games, DVDs and beach equipment. We particularly appreciated the wifi, and the i-pod docks and the two televisions (kitchen and living room). The cottage is just far enough out of the centre town to mean no traffic noise, but an easy walk to the harbour, shops and food and the gorgeous long sandy beaches.
The area is wonderful to explore. We did the boat trip to the bird sanctuary on the Farne Islands where the gulls were nesting. The gardens at Alnwick Castle and Howick Hall were fabulous, and we visited the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and castles at Warkworth, Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh (castles being my passion) - all of these within about half an hour's drive. The cottage was the perfect place to come home to for comfort and relaxation at the end of the day. We felt we had picked a real winner here!
