“Another 5* Stay at Beacon Hill”
Reviewed 20 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We've been staying at Beacon Hill regularly for about 13 years and it never fails to impress.
* All cottages beautifully fitted out and of course spotlessly clean;
* Wonderful indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, laconium and gym;
* In-house beautician for the perfect pampering treatments;
* Wonderful walks in the beech woods around the nature reserve & lake, and surrounding countryside;
* Games room, tennis court, boules court, croquet lawn, trampoline, football pitch, ride-on tractors for younger children;
* About 30mins from some of the best beaches in the country
* Good, interesting shopping in Morpeth.
You really couldn't ask for more.

“Wonderful Accommodation with great attention to detail”
Reviewed 15 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Just enjoyed a lovely week's holiday at Beacon Hill in one of the cottages owned by Alun Moore in Northumberland. Our cottage was beautifully appointed with great attention to detail. The facilities included a lovely spa area with attractive swimming pool that had views across the well tended landscape. The woodlands surrounding the cottages are open to guests and thoughtful touches including seating areas and small barbecues where children, supervised by their parents can enjoy the thrill of toasting marshmallows and sausage sizzles in a perfect setting.

Back at the cottage there are rows of books for those rainy days or cosy winter evenings relaxing in front of the log burner. There is also a very comprehensive welcome book that details all the local amenities, places to visit and guide to what is available on site. Alun welcomed us on our arrival and gave a personal tour in the 'golf buggy' so you get a quick feel of the place.

All in all a great place. We had a super time. It is easy to see why Beacon Hill has won so many awards and also why visitors return time and time again.

“Another excellent visit to Beacon Hill”
Reviewed 23 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Our fifth visit to Beacon Hill, this time staying in Kestrel Cottage, everything was excellent. A place where you are made to feel special and very welcomed by the whole team. The facilities are outstanding in the cottage, spa and swimming pool, games room and the Harry Potter trail in the woods and the sausage sizzle sites in the wood. Thank you Alun and team. will see you again soon.

“A little gem in the heart of Northumberland”
Reviewed 19 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

I booked this initially to get away from house renovations with my husband and children, thinking the pool would be good for our younger children if the weather was bad. As it happens, this is the best place we have ever stayed in the UK. There are lots of children here this week (school holidays) and they are well catered for (pool, indoor play area, football pitch, large trampolines, games room, woods with areas for campfires) but it is also lovely for adults (wildlife, gym, sauna, steam room, beauty salon) all set in beautiful countryside, and near to many tourist attractions. The cottage we are staying in is very comfortable and well-appointed. We have not found anything missing so far (a first for us). The owner and staff have been very helpful and informative, but not intrusive. We do intend to return here God willing.

“Outstanding facilities and personal service”
Reviewed 16 February 2014 for a stay in December 2013

Hired 3 cottages & all furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Availability of the owner and helpful local information made our stay perfect. Our whole family aged from 3 to 70 made use of the facilities and the surrounding area. The cottages were decorated for Christmas which added to our enjoyment.
Our host went 'above and beyond' in his efforts to make our stay perfect.
It is a long way from New Zealand but we hope we can stay again.
