We had a wonderful stay at Corbett Cottage. Our 7 year old loved watching the swallows gathering outside her bedroom window. Corbett Cottage is ideally placed for exploring Northumberland. It felt good to return to the cottage and get the roaring fire after walking across the sands to Holy Island. Ford and Etal are close, as are Bamburgh and Seahouses. The Lowry trail at Berwick is good, and there is a handy supermarket on the Corbett Cottage Cottage side of Berwick. We had a great stay and we are sure to return.

We stayed in Corbett Cottage for our honeymoon and it was simply perfect; a quiet, cosy hideaway so close to the most beautiful coastline and ideal to share with our puppy. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a North East escape - loved it!

“Superb rental cottage.”
Reviewed 21 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Have just returned from a weeks stay at the Corbett Cottage owned by Pamela Brewis. This was a most welcoming suprise as our arrival was met by Pamela and her friendly disposition settled us in within minutes. Corbett Cottage felt like home from home. Fully equiped with everything to make things easy. Washing machine, dishwasher in a utility room and a wonderful breakfast bar from which to view the large screen tv that Pamela brought in to swop for the smaller flatscreen, just because she thought we would prefer a larger screen to watch the World Cup football on. Absolute ace!
The rest of the cottage was perfect. Lovely garden and seating and wildlife galore. Went to sleep listening to the birds and then woke up to their song in the morning. Idylic!
Brochures galore were to be found to help you decide on what to do during the week, and even a parking ticket ticket provided when you ventured into Berwick. Very thoughtful.
We booked Corbett Cottage as it was advertised as dog friendly. It certainly was. Doggy basket for our Springer Spaniel Holly and even some essential goodies for ourselves, wine, flowers and the things you need just as you arrive without you needing to go out to the shop. The surrounding area was farmland with a working farm only a couple of hundred yards away that did not disturb our peace at all. The neigbouring owners and renters of the houses were very friendly and there were about 6 dogs in the immediate vicinity which were okay with our Holly.
If you are looking for a fully equiped comfortable dog friendly cottage in a beautiful quiet area of Northumberland not far from all the main sites, then you need not look any further. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the weather was perfect all week. Did not need any heating, log fire was prepared but unused and would have been cosy had we needed to light it up.
Many thanks to the owner Pamela Brewis for providing us with such a comfortable and friendly place to rest our weary bones after a long day of siteseeing. Will certainly consider coming back in the future as there were so many other places to visit in the surrounding area.

“Better than home from home!”
Reviewed 9 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Really well equipped cottage: most comfortable bed we've ever had in self-catering accommodation! The owner really has thought of everything to make the holiday hassle-free. Location ideal for beach walks, castle visits etc. Already looking to book again for later in the year.

“Fabulous Cottage in a fabulous location”
Reviewed 1 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

The cottage was very well equipped and was beautifully located. The cottage is within easy reach of Edinburgh, castles and scenery, people friendly can't wait to return. Would also recommend the circular walk from the cottage, its 4.2 miles but is a must for the scenery and just the complete peace and quiet.

The beach (Cheswick) was stunning and dog friendly and our two dogs loved the freedom to run around and it was almost deserted most of the time.
