“Fantastic location”
Reviewed 4 weeks ago for a stay in September 2018

Great location for an outdoors based holiday, very close to beach for walks, kayaking, scuba diving and some lovely bike rides to be had. Village has a pub in walking distance which serves good food all day long, useful bus routes to nearby villages and more substantial shops in nearby Seahouses. Property is small but met all criteria allowing a comfortable stay.

“Cosy Cottage by the sea”
Reviewed 11 September 2018 for a stay in August 2018

Had a great week in the cottage. Lovely cosy cottage with great views at the back. Beadnell is a lovely small village, the beaches are beautiful. Really well located, close to Seahouses and Alnwick.

“lovely accommodation”
Reviewed 11 September 2018 for a stay in August 2018

We stayed here for a week. Two adults and two children. Kids loved the accommodation and particularly the garden where you can see the horses close up.
Lovely touch on arrival with regards to tea/coffee and cake waiting for us and pint of milk in fridge.
Added bonus of board games and all things you need when self catering.
Linen was clean , towels soft.
only downside for me was I found beds quite hard. This can be matter of personal choice and comfort.
Good communication with property landlord which provides reassurance when your away from home.
Location of property ideal for most places. Beach only minutes away.
Would definitely recommend stay at this property.

Thank you Barbara for your constructive comments - it was a pleasure to host you. I think we should leave a mattress topper as an option to soften the mattress for those who find it too hard. Thank you for the pointer. It sounds like you had a lovely time and it would be great to welcome you back again.

“Relaxing location for quiet break away”
Reviewed 15 July 2018 for a stay in June 2018

We stayed at The Sands for a week in June and found it to be a great location to explore the Northumberland coastline. The house has all amenities you would need and is clean and cosy. The garden is lovely and great spot to sit and relax in. Beach is close by to walk too. Beadnell itself is quiet and has a bistro, pub and small shop. The pub serves great food and there is live music Friday/Saturday nights.

Than you Clare for your positive review - you had great weather, perfect for getting out and about. Thanks also for passing on tips for the local entertainment. Beadnell has a lot to offer for a small village and Seahouses offers more options just a couple of miles up the road.

Reviewed 30 June 2018 for a stay in June 2018

We have just returned from a week at the Sands it has been a relaxing holiday, pottering in and around the rock pools and lovely walks on the beaches. The garden has wonderful views and is so quiet.
The crab sandwiches at the Lazy days a cafe are the best we have tasted.
Thank you for a lovely week
