What a fantastic cottage, all you could wish for and more.Walked my dog to feed the ducks by the river every morning and could never resist the Running foxes cakes for tea.Cottage was superb with an exceptional welcome pack.Pub a minute walk serving lovely food and only short drives away for all the coastal scenery.Would definitely recommend.

“A well appointed cottage in a tranquil location”
Reviewed 10 November 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We had a fantastic stay which all started with a stunning welcome pack. The decor and furniture was pleasing to the eye and very comfortable. This base provided days out in Edinburgh, Holy Island, Farne Islands, Alnwick Castle, Newcastle and some stunning beaches.

The running fox was ideal for a great breakfast and many treats with fresh cakes and savouries.

All in all we would visit again and highly recommend.

“Excellent location”
Reviewed 9 November 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Well designed and maitained cottage. Close to the A1 . We had our border terrier with us . Thoughtful additions such as poo bags , spare lead and food bowls showed how welcome we were made. Excellent welcome package. Weather was never good enough to use the patio unfortunatly.

“Best holiday cottage”
Reviewed 16 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

The cottage was immaculate and well thought out. A lot of time has been given to making our stay as comfortable as possible. Central heating in June was very much needed, as the weather has not been great. Excellent welcome package. Dog friendly. An ideal location for exploring Northumbria.
