“Top weekend staying at The Nest”
Reviewed 26 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Spent the weekend at The Nest and it was great. I was after a weekend getaway very close to the beach and this location was spot on. The complex itself was extremely well kept and it had a very friendly atmosphere. The apartment was spotless. From the moment i walked in the door i felt at home, the soft furnishings give a very home from home feel, so i couldn't have been more relaxed if i tried. The bed was really comfortable and the place is equipped with everything you could think of. I would certainly recommend staying at The Nest.

“Perfect!”
Reviewed 6 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

My husband and I and our 11 year old Cocker Spaniel Holly have just returned from a 3 night stay at The Nest. It is perfectly located near to the leisure centre and pub and the owner Christine has thought of everything. It was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. We had fantastic weather and walked all along the beach to Filey in the sea!
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here and we will definitely be back!

“Lovely apartment with everything you need, in a fantastic location”

From start to finish the whole process was easy and the owner was really good to deal with.

Once booked the owner contacted us to discuss the holiday let and to see if we needed anything etc, they provided us a travel cot which saved valuable space in our boot! As the holiday approached the owner contact us again to make sure we knew where we were going and gave directions for once we arrived as to find the apartment qucikly and easily.

When we arrived on the site we were greated by a lovely promenade from the reception to the center of the site. It all appeared clean, new and very tidy. We found the apartment easily from the directions and were soon inside the very nicely decorated space.

All the rooms were clean and tidy and obviously well looked after. The bedroom was just big enough for our bags and the travel cot, but the storage cupboad came in useful to put our bags away giving us more floor space. The bed was comfortable and clean with nice soft pillows and duvet. The bathroom was neat and tidy with the P shaped bath allowed for a nice overbath shower. The living room/kitchen was a great space. it was open plan so it allowed me and my wife to cook and talk to each other so not isolating one of us in the kitchen. The TV - with NOW TV - was brilliant, as we have an 8 weeks old going out at night was not going to happen, so having the entertainment there on hand was brilliant. The kitchen was fully equipped and the dishwasher was a brilliant way to avoid the washing up!

If you are a small family or couple this would be an ideal apartment for you. The site was also brilliant - with swimming and lots of other activities. The pub was very nice to sit outside in the sunshine and was only let down by the food we had - but that may have just been bad choice on my part as other people enjoyed theirs.

All in all it was a great holiday, the weather i'm sure helped (hottest July on record apparently!), but none the less havinbg such a good base as The Nest made it easy to come and go as we wanted and somewhere comfortable to rest after a long day on the beach.

“Cosy retreat, fantastic location, all mod-cons, a real home from home”

Nestled in the scenic North Yorkshire coastline. This cosy retreat has everything you need to recharge your batteries and escape from it all.
A fantastic welcome awaited us, the accommodation is really well stocked, five star, with everything you can think of. We travelled with our 8 month old baby and Christine had thought of everything we needed to make our trip enjoyable.
Part of The Bay development, The Nest is a fantastic get away. Just a short stroll from the beach where you can take a 30 minute walk across the sands into Filey. It's a short drive to neighbouring Bridlington and Scarborough. On site there's a pub, Italian, pool, gym and pharmacy. Further afield there's something for everyone. From the land train at Bridlington and Sewerby Hall to the delights of The Magpie Cafe in Whitby. You can go Puffin spotting at Hunmanby or enjoy some good old fashioned fish and chips in Filey, Inghams was our favourite! We will definitely be back for a second visit.
