“Tranquil and comfortable”

This is our third time at No 8. It is everything you could possibly want. A home from home with all amenities. Close to country park and cliff walks. Filey beach and town is a ten minute walk away with everything you may need. The sunny, secluded garden has a beautiful, raised decking area overlooking the garden ideal for reading a book or just chilling, with a glass of wine, watching the sun go down. We like the area so much, we would like to live here.

Reviewed 1 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

Just returned after spending christmas at no 8, the bungalow is excellent.with everything you need situated in nice quiet residential estate only a short walk into filey town centre with some nice pubs &restaurants&shops. The seafront& beach are all within walking distance, which was nice not having to drive, but there is plenty of parking if you want to.The bungalow is decorated and equipped to a very high standard. the weather was kind to us .we enjoyed walks along sea front and beach every day.We would love to return to no8 ,.it is so peaceful and relaxing .the owners Roy&Carol were great the bungalow was nicely decorated for our stay, with christmas present&card many thanks to them both

“Perfect Filey Home from Home. Stay Here!!!”

If anyone is thinking of staying in Filey then we highly recommend Number 8, The Bungalow. We have just returned from a week’s holiday and it was a perfect home away from home. The bungalow is spacious with a beautiful garden and decking. It was tastefully decorated, a comfortable lounge with fantastic TV, DVD. The kitchen was perfect if you want to eat from home and the bedroom was spacious with plenty of room for storage and to top it off the bed is like sleeping on a cloud. It is very clean throughout and you can see that Roy and Carole put a lot of effort in to the upkeep of the bungalow. Off road parking in Filey is a godsend and Number 8 has plenty.

Roy and Carole were incredible hosts and could not have made us feel more welcome. From the outset they were very helpful giving us recommendations and letting us know how to contact them for anything.

Plenty of places are advertised on the sea front and we nearly took up one apartment, having been there I now realise how much of a nightmare parking would be. Don’t get sucked in by sea view properties as they are not always what they appear. Number 8 was a very short pleasant walk from the sea front and one that we enjoyed time and time again. Fabulous walks are on your door step such as the Cleveland Way cliff top walk to Filey Brigg, Filey Beach walk and plenty more. There is a large Tesco very close by for your shopping needs and for a few minutes walk you can sample the restaurants, cafés and pubs that Filey has to offer. A few recommendations close by: The Star pub, Frothie’s Coffee shop, San Marco’s restaurant, Ice Cream stall at the far end of Filey promenade is to die for. Trips to Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hood’s Bay, Bridlington, Bempton, Staithes are all very easily accessible.

We will certainly be back next year as it’s a perfect base from which to explore the stunning coastline. Thank you Roy and Carole!!

“Good sized bungalow with excellent parking .”
Reviewed 6 May 2013 for a stay in May 2013

This bungalow is situated in a quite residential area with excellent parking.( drive big enough for 2 cars)
Nicely kept rear garden, modern kitchen with second tv, good size living room and clean.
I would say about 12 minutes walk into town or Filey brigg, good for walking off the fish and chips.
This accommodation is well suited for families/couples wanting a relaxing holiday , coastal walks accessible from this location. .
