I don’t mean this lightly when I say that this was one of the finest Indian dining experiences I’ve ever enjoyed. Fantastic food! The maitre d’ was very engaging, very informative and made excellent recommendations, which we followed, and were not disappointed. Whilst really quite hot (to my liking), the food was layered with rich flavours. All food was cooked to order, so don’t expect fast food - the wait is oh so worth it! If you like good food, go there!

Ordered a takeaway to be told it would be 30 minutes. Arrived 30 minutes later to be told there was a delay and it would be a few minutes longer. Yes that’s fine, after they had found our order that was. Over an hour after we ordered our food arrived. I was told we had been given a complementary bag of chips for the wait. Good job they were in there because both the chips and rice we had paid for were not! Food was good when we eventually got it even though the order still wasn’t correct!

The Zeera Spice Lounge has impressed us with every visit to our hometown of Scunthorpe. We have returned upwards of five times in the past week and a half, because the food is simply far above the competition. We have access to excellent Indian food in San Diego but never felt that it measured up to the food in England, and the Zeera is the pinnacle of Indian cuisine in England. The excellent, polite service and superb food quality have made this our favorite dining location in the area. You cannot go wrong with menu choices. The Prawn Puree is fabulous! Murghe Pallack ahhh. Nawabi Murgh and Zeera Jhingha Special truly outstanding. We highly recommend the Zeera Spice lounge!

We called in as a party of 5 on Friday night, we were greeted by a friendly waitress that soon had our table sorted - once sat down I moved the white salt pot that was covered in a previous diners curry - a lovely start.
We had our drinks order taken and being one of the drivers ordered a coke, which arrived as a pint, no ice and a decidedly dead piece of lemon, it was Luke warm and flat at best - a friend ordered a lemonade for the same reason and this arrived in exactly the same state.
Menus arrived, we ordered popadoms as a starter and main courses. The popadoms arrived quickly with the pickles etc, and we ate them, fresh and tasty.
And that is where we then sat, and sat and sat, as mentioned by a previous reviewer the drinks waitress offered us more drinks numerous times, but no sign of our main courses.
They did eventually arrive, hot plates came out first which was nice to see, then the main courses, we were a portion of chips short, but apparently they needed to cook another portion as they were not happy with the first portion, which was ok.
The food was tasty, not hot in temperature but have to say it was no more than average food, nothing wrong with it but certainly not the best Indian I have ever tasted.
We asked for the bill and had to do that three times to get it, and it was not cheap for what we had.
Would I rush back, no. There is plenty of choice out there Restaurant wise and would try others before returning here - nothing wrong with the food, but nothing to rave about either
From talking in at 7pm, to having popadoms and main courses, took till 915pm
Staff are friendly and smiling but service does need to be slicker, I am sure everything is cooked to order but time wise seemed very long.
