Lovely hotel, amazing staff, super atmosphere. You will enjoy this hotel. Spotlessly clean. It's small, friendly, well run and the team spirit is one all managers should aspire to. Keep up the great work guys I enjoyed every night I spent with you.

This is a wedding venue pure and simple, they have lovely grounds and reasonable facilities in the dining and drinking areas, the location is nice and quite but if you were staying when a wedding was on you may well find it too noisy.

We had an executive room at the quite end of the hotel and still heard more than we cared for but at least we got into out room to sleep after midnight so the noise did not last long.

The bathroom was nice and clean and looked pretty new, the bedroom had cheap tired looking furniture in it but at least the bed was comfortable, there were plenty of squeaky/creaking floor boards in out room but as it was in the old part of the house I guess that was to be expected.

Unfortunately the central heating packed in earlier in the evening and after the 3rd call to reception an electric fire was sent up, we also heard other guests complaining about a lack of hot water but they did not seem to impact on us.

Breakfast was good with a decent selection and was pretty enjoyable.

I would say the room was a little on the expensive side but if you book directly with them you may well do better on the price.

Arranged a small (34 guests) wedding at short notice due to Fathers serious illness. The staff were so helpful and accommodating, doing everything they could to assist to make our day the best it could be. The setting here is really beautiful, the food was delicious as it always is and we all had a thoroughly wonderful day. Many of us stayed over, we all had lovely bedrooms and the breakfast was great, a wide choice, couldn't fault it.Would highly recommend for any occasion.

Room tip: All seemed very nice.

We came here on a Sunday lunchtime with a party of 20 for my 60th birthday. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff couldn't have been more attentive. The menu had a choice of about 6 dishes for each course and everyone agreed it was very well presented and delicious ( a bargain at £23 a head). We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back.

This is a old nineteenth century mansion house which has been converted to a hotel and conference centre set in beautiful gardens.Better signs to the place from the main road would be helpful as many of the guests went towards the OAP home further down the road. The wedding facilities was spot on the hotel caters for every aspect needed for weddings.including the service, wedding meal and even the disco for the evening entertainment. One small criticism some of the staff waitress etc seemed very young and at times seemed rather slow with the service.

Room tip: most rooms have a view of the gardens
