Enjoyed a cosy ten day stay in this charming old cottage which is full of character. It has 3 comfortable bedrooms, was spotlessly clean, well equipped and ideally located in Tenterden High Street, an easy walk to shops, cafes and restaurants.
Just arrived home from a weeks holiday at quince cottage, it's a lovely place. Ideally situated, at one end of the high Street, with shops, restaurants and pubs, within easy walking distance.
There is everything you need, with two good size double bedrooms and one single, all with ample storage space. It's well equipped and very comfortable.
The only slight problem is reversing the car on to the main road, you need someone to guide you out, as the road is busy. You get some traffic noise also.
Quince Cottage is a two story small town modernised terraced dwelling with character, very comfortable and well equipped (we had no wish for anything that was not provided).
We met the owner Pam as we arrived purely by accident who was very hospitable (some fresh flowers on the table and milk in the fridge). All the amenities of Tenterden are very close at hand, easily reached on foot. The close by Italian Restaurant is worth a visit.
For a holiday/short break in a real "Kentish small Town" with easy access to the whole county, we can recommend Quince Cottage.
We stayed for 3 nights with our 18 month old daughter and a set of grandparents. We had a great time in this well appointed house. The surprise of a second bathroom downstairs really helped us all get ready in the morning. The welcome was lovely and the owner had left helpful welcoming gifts such as tea and milk. Given that we had a really cold week, the heating worked well and was efficient. I would definitely recommend this house to friends.
