“Christmas here was great!”
Reviewed 4 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

We (Four females & a Labrador) booked a week at Stable Cottage over Christmas after a very tough year and wanted to escape London and 2016! I must say it met every expectation we were hoping for!

Being greeted by a bottle of Prosecco and a beautifully decorated Christmas Tree was a delight and settled us instantly.

Having the privacy, quiet neighbourhood and beach was pure bliss.

Everything needed for Christmas dinner cooking was there and all ready to get those pigs in blankets in the oven!

The only criticism was we couldn't work out the heating system/how to keep the whole place warm. It was either warm living room and freezing bedrooms or cold living room with the radiators turning on in the middle of the night in the bedrooms!

Thank you for everything!,
Dee, Janine, Charlotte, Kim and the Pooch Molly xxx

“Lovely Location”

Very well equipped holiday cottage, all on one level and pet friendly.
The beach is at the end of the road and Sandwich is very close by.
There is a large garden which is very well maintained by the gardener who came 3 times in the week we stayed.
The kitchen has all you would need for a holiday stay and the beds were very comfortable. The only negative for us was the sofa which was very much past its best.

A nice cottage in a lovely place just down the road to the bay. Shops are not close so must arrange meals well, a suggestion is a small freezer would be very helpful, and a microwave. Must agree with the pervious reviews the chair and sofa defiantly need replacing. As I suffer from a very bad back couldn't sit for long at all.

Hello
Thank you so much for your review. I have passed on your comments to the owner and she is looking into replacing the sofa. She is also going to get a microwave and look at getting a small freezer.

I am pleased you had a nice break.

“Pictures don't do it justice”
Reviewed 29 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Lovely place to spend a few days away. The pictures really don't do it justice, I would have given it 5 stars, but I agree with another review the sofa and chair were really uncomfortable and had seen better days, not good if you have mobility issues! The property was clean and they had kindly left tea, coffee and sugar. You need to make sure you have all your provisions with you as it's a fair way to the nearest town - no popping to the corner shop (a bottle of milk in the fridge would be a really nice gesture). Sandwich bay was delightful, lovely to walk along with the pooch - just be careful letting the dog off the lead - there's some serious rabbit warrens in the sandy soil - thought we had lost ours for a while. The property is great for exploring the Kent coastline and sandwich has to be up there for such an interesting and historical town. If you have a dog, try the Belgian bar in ramsgate they let dogs in, serve good food and great beer. A lovely relaxing holiday.
