Cannot fault the hotel. Ok maybe tired in places but this is more than made up for by the fantastic staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Check in is 3pm but they had the room ready for 1.30 for us. We stayed in one of the family suites and they put an extra z bed in as there is five of us with absolutely no problem or extra charge. There was a wedding on which they told us at booking so restaurant wasn’t open but they were more than happy when we asked for us to get a pizza delivered. Whilst I was at reception I overheard another guest asking if they had an iPhone charging lead to which they found one (not sure if a member of staffs) but were happy to lend it out. Breakfast was yummy. Really can’t fault this hotel and will be staying again when back down visiting family :-)

Very tired and tatty. Whole hotel needs a revamp. Bathroom had been recently done up but nothing else. Breakfast was very greasy and a bit tasteless. Disappointing.
On the plus side, it was a good location right on the seafront.

Just spent the bank holiday weekend at the Smiths Court Hotel for a family reunion, all 33 of us. Great breakfast each day and a lovely evening meal together on Saturday evening. A nice walk to the town along the sea front. All thoroughly enjoyed our stay and a big thank you to all the staff. No hesitation in recommending a stay here.

So pleased you enjoyed it - and the weather played its part too!

Friendly Hotel in a bit of a run down part of Margate the decor was a bit tired but comfortable, Dinners were on the whole good, starters, main meat and sweets were very good, but choice of vegtables was poor. The staff were great very friendly, 2 evenings of entertainment was good. We had a large upgraded room which was very nice but out the back of the Hotel.

Room Tip: One with sea views would be best

Hotel was good overall; unfortunately the restaurant was only available for breakfast (due to a function taking place). We were not told in advance so when we arrived we had to go back out to get something to eat. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We came by train and were walking everywhere the surrounding area is very run down and did not feel very safe. Very sad to see a great seaside town so neglected.
