Nice building with disabled access. Currently tourist information centre where staff were friendly and helpful, offering lots of tips about where to visit.

Lovely looking building in a prime location at the start of the harbour arm. Originally built over 200 years ago, it was rebuilt after being bombed in WW2. Close to lot's of other local attractions it is well worth a look, it has the added benefit for you as it is now also the local Tourist Information Office.

Drop in here to garner information about Thanet' s many attractions and things to do. A building that enjoys an unrivalled position on the stone pier (harbour arm)and has its own interesting history as one of the oldest buildings in Margate.Wonderful views across the bay of Margate' s .' Golden Mile'.

Having toured the adjacent Turner Gallery,I did wonder what this attractive building was.Being the Tourist Information Office I learned that in the 18th century,a droit was the fee a ship paid to enter harbour.Built in 1812 it became the Customs House in 1828.The 19th century prints of it are fascinating.Bombed by the Luftwaffe in the SWW it was rebuilt in 1947.They told me a number of the Town's tourist attractions.
