“Dissapointed”
Review of Hampton Pier

Hampton Pier
Reviewed 1 July 2016

Small pier, more of a jetty. Not a lot to do for kids, but ok for an hour or two if you go for a drink in the pub opposite. Would combine this with a walk towards Tankerton on a nice day.

Small pair, but great when the tide is out for crabbing.
Easy free parking little old school pub very close buy.
The sun sets are amazing and great park just along the road.
Nice place with the kids and packed lunch for the day. -x-

A nice small pier just west of bustling Herne Bay. No amusements on this pier, just a few fishing and crabbing and taking it easy before perhaps having a drink in the Hampton Inn.

Nearby Hampton Inn if you want a pub lunch and a playpark over the road for the kids - green for the dog to run - lovely walks - DO WATCH OUT FOR PARKING THOUGH !!! = Have ended up with a ticket before now .....

This is just a small pier jutting out into the sea but the views along the coastline and our to to the windfarm & forts are delightful. The sunsets are stunning if you catch the right moment & weather conditions.

There's a pub just opposite which does good food and local Shepherd Neame beer. The car park is free and there's further free parking along the local roads.

In summer look out for the ice cream seller riding on his push-bike mounted freezer, he will ring a bell to let you know he's coming.

At high tide you can fish or crab line off the pier and at low tide you can do fly fishing or shrimping.

It's around 20 minutes to walk down to the main Herne Bay pier from here.
