Beautifully decorated accommodation with lots of thoughtful "seaside" themed touches. Very clean and well furnished with a well equipped kitchen. We feared for the cream carpets though and I wonder if the owner will regret them!

There was a problem with the shower when we stayed but I'm sure this will be rectified. As we were only there for 2 nights though it wasn't too much of an issue. Access to the accommodation is via a flight of stairs.

The location is very handy. Easy walk into town and seafront, to Deal Castle, the train station, and to a couple of supermarkets. We also had no problem parking (unrestricted) in the side road. The owner also provided a really handy local info sheet for personally recommended restaurants etc in the area.

This area of Kent is really worth exploring but if you're are going to include Dover Castle in your itinerary + one other site, ask for the 7 day couples membership to English Heritage. It will also cover you for Deal Castle, Walmer Castle (which we never made) and the Roman ruins just outside Sandwich for just £5 more per couple than the entrance to Dover alone.
