“Another lovely stay at 49 The Marina”
Reviewed 5 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

This was our second stay at this lovely apartment, we stayed with two children and grandparents, having the 2 en suites and bathroom is great as you do not feel like you are on top of one another. Our children loved being able to just cross the road and be at the seaside and it is a lovely flat seafront perfect for bike riding.

The apartment is very well equipped and nicely furnished, the beds were extremely comfortable and the personal touches were much appreciated. A very peaceful location, Molly & Angus were very welcoming and friendly and we would happily stay again.

“Great Stay in a Great Spot”

Wow what a great place to stay! This bottom floor apartment is spacious, impeccably clean, sunny, whilst having all the 'modcons' you could ever need on a seaside holiday.

It's only a short walk up the road to a huge range of pubs and restaurants. We took some of our host's suggestions a few of the nights and not once were disappointed. Of note is the old time ice cream parlour and the nut sundae.

There are also the little touches that Molly and Angus provide too. A nice hand written welcome note, bottle of wine, chocolates, a 'things to do' folder, lots of books, DVDs and board games. They really have gone out of their way to make your stay a special one.

Our reason for coming to this part of The UK was to swim the English Channel. Staying in Deal over Dover allowed us to do our own thing instead of getting caught up in all the Dover Hype. The best bit about '49 the Marina', apart from the very kind owners, is its only 20m from a fantasticly clean and safe stretch of the English Channel (every open water swimmer's dream). For swimmers this means unlimited practise in exactly the same conditions you will face on your swim, not in a sheltered harbour. I totally recommend staying here if you are intending to swim the Channel, it's only a 15min drive to Dover, although we found that once in Deal we rarely needed to go to Dover anyways.

“Fabulous seaside retreat!”
Reviewed 17 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We will definitely be back to stay at this beautiful ground floor apartment. On arrival , Molly had kindly left a welcome gift of chocolates, wine and fresh eggs from her very own chickens! The situation of this property is an ideal location for so many lovely places to visit, whilst the beach, bars and restaurants of Deal are on the doorstep. The accommodation is beautifully presented and our family of six (with a one year old) slept so well in the ultra comfortable beds. Every need was catered for and the week went far too quick. A huge thank you to Angus and Molly!

“Home From Home”
Reviewed 10 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This is our second visit to this absolutely wonderful apartment, and as usual we found it to be spotless, and the welcoming gifts of eggs from their own chickens, wine and chocolates extremely kind and thoughtful. The location of the apartment, a mere ten minute walk from the town centre, and literally beach side makes it a fantastic holiday retreat, no noise and the apartment very nicely decorated and very spacious. The three bedrooms are a very good size, with two of them en suite, the showers are amazing and I love the way the shower walls have been created, must have taken the builders ages to do them.
There is a very nice kitchen, with all the 'mod cons', and a small, but very nice patio area to read and relax in.
We are already planning our third visit to Deal, as there is a lot to do in and around the area, and a stay at 49 The Marina will be a must.
Thank you Molly and Angus for making our stay so enjoyable, we will be back !!!!!
