“The Pottery Shed Good Karma”
Reviewed 8 November 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Wow what a fantastic hidden gem,the hosts were amazing, nothing was to much bother for them, our every whim was provided ,beautiful breakfast, the accommodation was spotless, luxurious , their local knowledge provided on the best walks and near by best eats was happily provided, yes we were tired from our long trip from Australia all the stress just washed away on arrival at the Pottery Shed. I read the Belgium review all I can say is travelling with some young children is obviously stressful ,hence the negativity.

“Beautiful cottage in. Perfect setting”

The Pottery Shed is a very pretty cottage on the very weak kept and beautiful grounds of the owners property. The house is well insulated and is very conveniently located to buy essentials yet giving you the feeling of complete peacefulness and privacy.
The owners Sarah and Ian were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The homemade cake provided on arrival was fantastic and they went out of there way to ensure we were comfortable.
The only drawbacks were the fact that this property is rented out as a 1 bedroom although it says 2 bedroom in the title of the property. The 2nd bedroom is available for an extra charge. This is slightly mis-leading although it does specify this if you read in detail the full description. Also there is no dishwasher. But the lovely Owens and the beauty of te property ensured a fabulous stay!! Strongly recommended!!

Thoroughly relaxing stay. Sarah and Ian couldn't have been more hospitable. The accommodation was immaculate. A beautiful setting too and a very easy place to explore a very picturesque part of England. Highly recommended.

“A lovely home and peaceful escape!”

We visited this little cottage on our way through England and it ended up being one of our favorite spots of the whole trip!

The host was a lovely woman who welcomed us with biscuits! Who does that these days? My kids thought it was Christmas again. The house was very comfortable and warm which for an Australian is very important.

We had left London in a bit of a hurry and quite frantically which meant this spot was perfect to wind down. The little lake they have has ducks floating everyday for the kids to watch and we ended up being shown around the countryside with the host's husband and their dogs.

I always love little touches at hotels or bed and breakfasts as my wife and I travel a bit for work so i thought i should write a review to show my gratitude for the hosts and their shed. I cant recommend this place enough if you have kids. Wide open spaces they can keep busy and a quiet chair and clean house for you and your partner to relax.

“Another lovely stay at The Pottery Shed”
Reviewed 22 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Having stayed at The Pottery Shed last May, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit, we decided to return in October.
Once again we had a relaxing and peaceful stay in the immaculate Pottery Shed. We found it to be spotlessly clean, and provided all that we needed for a very comfortable stay. The gardens and lake present a beautiful view to wake to each morning. A home-baked cake on arrival was an added welcoming touch.
We were amazed and horrified to read the previous review, which is completely at odds to our own experience.
Contrary to the previous reviewer we found Sarah and Ian to be charming, friendly hosts, who went to a great deal of trouble to put us at ease as they welcomed us. Sarah even gave us a lift to a nearby pub and picked us up again afterwards so that we could enjoy a drink with our meal.
The dogs, Bridget and Annie, greeted us as dogs do with great enthusiasm and we found them to be very gentle and friendly.
We would certainly visit again and recommend it as a very special place in which to stay.
