We visited Lavender Cottage as a family if 5 plus our dog. We were all very impressed with the decor, cleanliness, fantastic amenities and perfect location on the west coast of I.O.W. We have visited IOW many times and usually opt for a leisure park but knowing the weather could be iffy we decided on a holiday cottage for comfort, relaxation and a good nights sleep. The cottage had an amazing kitchen and was equipped for rainy days with puzzles and games which we really enjoyed. We would definitely come back.
Lovely location just a short walk to the town centre, Lavender Cottage is well equipped with an excellent kitchen and dining area. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. Charming Yarmouth is a quaint town with many quality eating places and a pier that seems to extend forever. Would recommend.
Location is good with Yarmouth center a couple of minutes walk one way and a large green down to the sea the other way. Plenty to do for a week's holiday: we ran each day along the bike trail from Yarmouth towards Freshwater, enjoyed the Off the Rails restaurant (which needs booking), south of Yarmouth is Tennyson Down & Needles (one of the best walks anywhere) and a bit further away there's Osbourne House.
Cottage itself has been renovated and feels like a boutique hotel inside. Weather was good for our week so we spent most of the time outside, nevertheless the house is easily big enough for a family of five.
So if you want a holiday in the west of the Isle of Wight, Lavender Cottage is thoroughly recommended.
