A beautiful little cottage in a perfect location within Seaview!
Solent View Cottage sits in such an idyllic location, just a few steps away from the sea and surrounded by a large grass area. There’s a lovely stroll in each direction with a pub/restaurant at the end. Turn left for The Boat House which offers both a lunch & evening menu and just around the corner is Puckpool Park. If you want a longer walk you can carry on beyond The Boat House, along the seafront towards Ryde and the stunning Appley Beach. Alternatively, you can head right towards Seaview Village where you’ll find the Yacht Club and The Old Fort which also offers food – this in an ideal place to watch all of the little boats bobbing on the sea and capture some beautiful photos.
The property itself is ideal for a self-catering holiday, with 2 double bedrooms and one twin, you can take the whole family! It also boasts two separate bathrooms – the one downstairs is more of a shower room and the one upstairs has a full-size bath. Being able to see the sea from the upstairs bedroom and bathroom is just beautiful with a view of Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower. We’ll most definitely be going back next year.
We didn't choose to stay here but were moved here from an unsuitable property for the last 5 days of our holiday. Strange layout and not sure about it being suitable for 6, but as we were a maximum of 3 it was fine for us. Upstairs bedroom very nice with roomy bathroom (bath with no shower attachment) The stairs are very narrow/steep so you need to be aware of that. No kettle which is strange for a UK rental but we coped. Nice decking area and grass to the back. Quiet spot and near the sea. Good Pub - The Boathouse - 10 minutes to the left and in the other direction - near the Sailing Club - The Old Fort is also good. Lilys Coffee House in the village does a great coffee and brownie. My husband particularly liked this property.
