“Couldn't wait to book for next year!”
Reviewed 29 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

What a lovely place to stay everything from the comfortable furniture and beds down to the cork screw was excellent quality. Great walks from outside the door, fantastic welcome and spotlessly clean. We had a wonderful week and have already booked for two week stay next year. Very highly recommended.

“Beautiful cottage - fully equipped with all the comforts of home and spotlessly clean”

We arrived to a lovely greeting from Sarah and her two dalmations. After a brief introduction she left us to settle in and to enjoy a nice cup of tea and piece of delicious home made sponge cake which had been left with milk and sugar and selection of teas. The cottage is within the grounds of Sarah's house, which is very private and has a walled garden. We never saw Sarah unless we wanted to speak with her when she was very pleasant and most helpful. The cottage has a charming exterior and is characterful and cosy downstairs. The lounge is comfortable and is well equipped with games and DVD's. The upstairs is beautifully appointed and in pristine condition with a large comfortable bed and pillows in the master bedroom. There is a hairdryer in the main bedroom. It was a pity that we were on our own and that the beautiful 2nd bedroom wasn't unused. Fluffy white towels were provided in both bedrooms. The back garden is walled, so feels very safe for dogs in the dark and is a sun trap during the day. It has a barbeque and heater. We only ate breakfast, as there are plenty of dog friendly cafes for lunch, and dog friendly pubs for an evening meal in the surrounding towns and villages. If we had ate in, the kitchen is very well equipped and again spotless. Washing up liquid, hand soap and even toilet rolls were provided. We visited Hereford, Ross on Wye, Bromyard, Ledbury, Tewkesbury and the stunning Great Malvern. Lugwardine has a village church and doesn't feel out in the sticks whilst being surrounded by rolling hills and lovely walks. A bonus was that we had wi-fi which worked and good reception for our phones. It was our 2nd year in Herefordshire/Shropshire and the best cottage we have ever stayed in for homeliness, great immediate location and proximity to places of interest. We would highly recommend this cottage.

Liked best: The bedrooms, bathroom, spacious kitchen, sunny aspect and overall cleanliness
Liked least: Not a dislike but we felt that the lounge needed a touch of colour on the chimney breast wall as the room was quite bland.

“charming house within easy reach of both towns and outdoor enjoyment”

We stayed at the White Coach House from mid March to early May of 2015, enjoying the comfortable house, good access to walking and pleasant people. The house was spacious for a rental , well equipped and had a nice garden area. The wood burning stove was most welcome on cool nights. The owner of the property was there when needed and most helpful. There is a pub within walking distance but one must drive to go to a store. Given the nearness of Hereford, this is not a real drawback. We had a great time and would love to return.

“Perfect place for a weekend with friends”

We chose the White Coach House because it could accommodate our party of 5 & 2 dogs comfortably. The cottage was pretty, clean & spacious & perfectly equipped for entertaining & the walled garden was perfect for the dogs. Sarah, the owner was lovely & friendly & only next door if you had any questions. She had even made a gorgeous cake for us on arrival, which I thought was lovely touch & very much enjoyed by the rest of the gang. If you don't feel like cooking there's a pub a stones throw away & the food was excellent. In a nutshell, this cottage hit the spot for us, a definite 10 out of 10, I would definitely recomend this little gem. Thanks again, Sarah for making us feel so welcome x
