Beautiful place and house lots of historical information available out the artefacts on display , so much to see and take in ,guides are available to talk you through each room and are very knowledgable .Entrance fee was a bit pricey but can visit gardens and park again for free .You can also book a tour of the old palace for a fee.Shops and cafes are also on site .Massive park and children’s zoo also for extra fee. Lots of dog walkers and families bring wellies if it’s raining or picnic if it’s sunny .Car park is free . If you love history it’s a must .

Magnificent country house set in a massive park just close to Hatfield town centre. The house is very well reserved, maintained, hosting many beautiful paintings and historic items. The private Chapel with a stained glass window is particularly pretty. The guides are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming - we learnt so much about British monarchy and nobility in just one afternoon. Really enjoyable visit.

Despite living reasonably close to Hatfield for years we had never visited Hatfield House before, an oversight on our part. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and loved the house a truly beautiful home. We hired an audio tour which we understand is new for this year, it was very informative, giving you extra information about each room. The room stewards were very friendly helpful and informative, don't be afraid to ask them questions. There was a French market at the front of the house which had attracted quite a few people buying food items. We didn't go round the gardens we will visit again and do them. The house is close enough to walk down into Hatfield old town and have a look at the church next to the hall.
We will visit again very soon.

Beautiful jacobite palace. Well maintained gardens, with small ponds with water lilly. Old oaks with strange appearence. Olde Elizabethan mansion

A great place to walk around. The house is rteally interesting and the addition of the courtyard cafes and shops make it fun for all. Extensive grounds and a great classic car show usually in july. Always some event going on. Reasonably priced for admissions and you could easily spend the whole day here.
