First stay here, weather appalling fog ++++ and roadworks on M3. Difficult to spot entrance due to weather. However very nice welcome from Jessica, and intro to wi-fi. All info needed given, room very quiet as window open for dogs, no disturbances, car park conveniently placed behind rooms, breakfast available. Or very short walk to services. Ample area to walk dogs.
Ilda on in the morning gave me directions how to get where I needed to, again very helpful. Bathroom ceiling needs attention. Room 19

I started contract work nearby and stayed at This hotel for 4 days last week . At the weekend when I sat down in front of my pc to write a review on Trip Advisor I could not believe my eyes. All the recent f guests have been slagging this hotel in strongest terms. I am just wondering if these people have stayed at the same hotel as I or have their imagination been running riots.
For all potential guests let me tell you that this Days Inn hotel is nothing like a Faulty Towers these professional complainers want you to believe.

You have a flight to catch or exhibition to go to and you want to find a little hotel to spend the night. . Your lucky day. You find a room for £40 at Days Inn. You get what you paid for. You don’t expect same comfort as Holiday Inn from a budget hotel. So instead of satisfying with the basic and quality service you get why start a war against them.

I stayed at room no 15 for four days last week for £49 a night . You would be surprised to hear I experiencde nothing but excellent service from Jessica the evening receptionist about somebody has complained below. . I had booked a double room through Booking.com. and Jessica had all my paper work ready. She was most welcoming when I checked in, had a friendly chat with me while I was paying. Told me where to go for food . She did not look like a rude person as another guest has mentioned

I experienced no smell corridoes what so ever in my long walk to the room. It was spacious, spotlessly clean, There was complementary tea , coffee etc. In many large hotels they give 2 wafer thin tasteless biscuits. Here at Days Inn you get proper packet of biscuits. Wifi connects straight away and the TV has many channels There was not a single bed bug in my bed and it was very comfortable too. Although the hotel was at a very busy service station I heard no traffic noise from the M3 or the service car park. I had a very comfortable first night

My second third and fourth days were the same. In some big hotels where guests on the second night do not get the same level of service as the first night ,However here they treat us as new guests every day. It was sheer joy to come to a immaculately cleaned room every evening . Unlike some hotel where they leave you only 2 sachet of coffee and 1 tea bag on second day, my complementary tray had 5 tea bags 10 cofee sachets, enough milk and sugar and variety of biscuits every day.

I hate drip drip slow trickling shower but here the shower was superb and water was hot. There were enough towels for me and the housekeeping staff had supplied fresh ones everyday . That’s what I called service

These moaners who has written below should understand that budget hotels employ only one staff in a shift. She has to check in guests one after another, prepare them snacks if requested, do paper work, attend to vending machines, keep the reception area cleanand do 100 other things under trying condition. So if she did not pick up the phone within 5 seconds when you rang from your room. do not go on internet andcomplain. Put yourselves in their shoes and thik if you could mange a 80 room hotel alone and attend all guests’ needs at the same time

Also if you pay £50 a night and you had a comfortable night why round the room lifting the carpet up to see if you could find something to complain about.. Does it matter what colour the wall paper is or if décor is dated. You are not in the Ritz so be happy with what you get and be civilised to the staff
Before you think I have shares in Days Inn, let me tell you the negatives. The hotel car park in the back was totally dark and it was unsafe for a female to walk along the footpath to the front where reception is. However Jessica told me the lights were out only for a few days due to some renovation work. The other thing is the floorboard upstairs are not very sound proof. The insomniac guest in the room above me was walking up and down in his room creaking the floor which disturbed me one night .(May be he was an exception because I did not experience that noise on other nights). Also I am a bit perplexed as to why this hotel offer smoking rooms at this day and age . Heating was very good but they were turned off at midnight. May be they would switcjh on all night in winter

Apart from those minor points I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. It is in the most convenient place, plenty of food and drinks available next door,.Service was excellent. House keeping staff get full marks from me . No bad smells . Staff was very attentive. The Manger Samantha is a good E mailer and has Customer service in her heart. What else you want (Except champagne and caviar )
Some people pay very little to stay in a budget hotel but expect 5 star treatment. When they do not get pampered they write bad reviews as a revenge which is very unfair.

All I say to you is please don’t be put off by recent negative comments by a few . This is a very pleasant hotel for anybody on business. If you are a Mon-to Friday contractor like me book a room there. After one night, you would realise that Days Inn Fleet is the ideal place for you
