Interesting if your interested in aviation. Cody's plane replica is there and in a separate building. Lots of prototype models and exhibits - very helpful and informative staff.
Parking on and off site, one to two hours is sufficient. There is a small tea room should you need some refreshments. Its FREE!!

This isn't an aviation museum in the usual sense. They have some aircraft on display, but it's mostly about the science of research and development that took place at the Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE) Farnborough.

Things like the captured German WW2 Wind Tunnel and associated artefacts typify the fascinating exhibits. You'll also find very knowledgeable staff willing to tell you the whole story.

Well worth a side visit, are either of the two adjacent pubs, where the test pilots used to meet and drink.

My toddler thoroughly enjoyed a couple of hours playing and exploring this museum.
4 helicopters/planes were open to enter and sit in them, which we loved.
There were some interactive points inside the museum, which my toddler absolutely loved, kids play corner was also explored. Shame about flight simulators being out of order, we would have loved to have a go!
All volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to visit!

Thank you very much for taking the time to post such a positive review. As volunteers it is great to know that our efforts are appreciated.
We do try to open up as many of our aircraft as possible, but that depends on the weather & availability of volunteers.
I'm very sorry that the simulators were out of order when you visited. We work hard to keep them running but they are so popular they sometimes do go down. We addressed the issues as soon s we could & they are all working as I write this. I do hope you will be able to visit us again.
