The night we arrived it wasn't just raining, it was shoving it down. Even though the car was not far from the door by the time we got into reception we were soaked.
The receptionist (Lindsey) checked us in and wait for it gave us an extra towell to fry ourselves off. She might have broken the rules, but what a piece of customer care !
All the staff in the hotel were pleasant and obliging.
Our room was pleasant and overlooking the quayside and waterski area.
Its an easy walk along the quayside to the shopping centre and lower centre.

Room tip: Try to get to the back to avoid cooking smells from next door pub.

Weather terrible !

Great location, quiet we found facing the water.

You cannot fault this place for the money.

Friendly staff, comfy room and the breakfasts are great at the next door Beefeater.

We stay in several hotels and several premier inn's recently and this is as good a one as there is.

The room was warm but had a decent air con. Iron and board on request.

Litter around the outside which needs someone to sort but a worthy 5. We would come back if in the area.

I booked to see Wicked at the Lowry Theatre with my daughter and two granddaughters and wanted somewhere nearby to stay so we booked the Premier Inn. It was within walking distance of the Theatre and Lowry Outlet which has shops and places to eat. As check in was not until 2pm and we had to be at the Theatre for 1.30 we checked in after around 5.30pm. We had a family room at a cost (room only) of £94.00. There was an option to book breakfast but we decided to make this choice the following morning. The room had a double bed, a put-up bed and a sofa bed which were all made up. The put up bed and sofa bed were very uncomfortable - rock hard. OK if you like that sort of thing. I must say the bedding and bathroom were spotless though although basic I supposed £94.00 for a Sat night is not bad. There is a beefeater attached to the Hotel, this is a very pretty location and you can sit on the seats and tables outside overlooking the waterway, unfortunately for us the weather was cold and rainy (Yes in July ridiculous). We went to take a look early morning on arrival and the place was empty - there were boxes and mess everywhere - there was not a person in sight and the empty tables had old food on them and looked very dirty - so we left. On returning at 5.30pm to check into the hotel it did seem to be busier but we had already eaten so I could not comment on the food here. Except for the back of the toilet doors had graffiti which said - do not eat here - food inedible and more etc etc. Back to the room at settled down for the night we were ALL awoke with the sound of footsteps/voices and creaking floorboards from the room directly above us - this was 01.35 am in the morning and continued to walk round and round and round and rounds until around 02.45am when they decided to go to sleep and finally so could we. I was very angry as my granddaughter had an audition in the centre of Manchester and we had to be there for 09.00am. We awoke and checked out at 08.15 am and the lady on reception asked if we had enjoyed our stay - we told her NO and explained why regarding the people in the room directly above us. She said she know exactly who we meant as she had an earlier altercation with them. So we were offered a FULL refund as we had not had a good nights sleep and I took it. This is part of their guarantee so if you need to use this then please do so.

Room tip: We were in room 111 which was on the first floor overlooking the car park - opposite side have a view overlooking the water

We had a great stay at this hotel, the receptionist was so helpful when we needed to change a double room to a twin, took approx. 5 minutes for the room to be ready, WOW! the room was immaculate and the bathroom spotlessly clean, and the bed comfortable An iron and ironing board were readily available. As we were leaving I saw a young lady cleaning the next room to mine and felt I had to tell her that she did an excellent job, Would definitely stay here again. Great recommendation Sir Lenny !

Room tip: Rooms at the back look out onto the Quays
