Very pleasantly surprised, as this hotel, whilst being in the Holiday Inn's budget range, is of a very high standard with good decoration and style both in the public areas and in the bedroom and bathroom. Perfectly clean and comfortable and quite relaxed with fabulous staff who seem to genuinely care about you "the guest". Reported an issue with the lighting which was fixed without delay - must be congratulated. The reception/bar staff were welcoming and "human". We had a room overlooking the water, and it was well ventilated, certainly big enough and again clean and comfortable. The only issue was the variable temperature of the water in the shower - had we been on a relaxing/spa type break a long shower would have been welcomed, but as let's see everything there is to see in a short time, we could cope with the shower. We didn't manage breakfast (too much else to do in the vicinity), but I expect it would have been similar to the adequate breakfast served in Holiday Inn Express hotels. They do have a nice little area with a microwave and they also serve snacky meals, so no need to starve. Close to the metro station and within walking distance of the local attractions. Enough eateries close by. There is a car park, but we were on the train, so unable to comment. We went mid-week an the clientele seemed to be people on business...Very pleasantly surprised, as this hotel, whilst being in the Holiday Inn's budget range, is of a very high standard with good decoration and style both in the public areas and in the bedroom and bathroom. Very quiet overnight and good nights sleep achievable. Thank you.More
