What a beautiful cottage... Blockley is the most typical English Village, and the cottage is so gorgeous... I can't recommend it enough. Victoria is a very helpful owner.. and the cottage has everything you would need.... The kitchen is kitted out with all you would need for your cooking requirements, even down to the welcome basket of tea and a freshly made homemade cake awaiting us..... very welcome.. The bathroom has an amazing shower ... Although we were there in the Winter, I can imagine it being just as wonderful in the summer. We went on a couple of lovely walks around the village and even called in on the local pub on the way back... Chipping Campden is a short drive away with shops and some lovely restaurants.
Highly recommend this cottage......

“Charming well equipped cottage in small historic village”

Streets too narrow for tour buses make this a peaceful and quiet spot. We visited other towns nearby, like Chipping Campden and the Slaughters but decided Blockley was far less touristy. The two pubs offered somewhere to go in the evening, but the highlight was the village shop and cafe, operated by the village co-operative. Just ideal for a self catering holiday. We spent two days walking in the local area, exploring Blockleys lanes and particularly the church.
The cottage was perfectly set up, and Victoria had even left us a lovely chocolate cake for supper. Most appreciated!
Note, the stairs are quite steep and narrow, typical of old cottages.

“Comfortable cottage, equiped to a high standard in quiet village with good walking”

The cottage is fitted out with modern, good quality fixtures (very comfortable bed, shower, kitchen equipment etc) but is still a very comfortable, homely place to stay. It is in a lovely, quiet, Cotswold stone village with parking available in the street. The village shop which is close by has a good selection of provisions and the attached cafe does very nice breakfasts. The owners provided a number of local walk guides varying between 5 to 10 miles. We purchased OS map OL45 and really enjoyed these. National Trust properties we visited in the vicinity were: Hidcote - beautiful garden, Chedworth roman villa - interesting history and mosaics and Snowshill Manor - eclectic collection. All quite different from the typical NT mansions.

Our opinion has not been swayed by the delicious chocolate cake that greeted our arrival!

We were delighted to be able to stay in this gorgeous cottage twice in one month! Very comfortable, well equipped and stylish whilst retaining its real Cotswold flavour. We will be back!

We loved it, good location to explore, a beautiful cottage just perfect. The cottage was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Felt at home straight away. Ps The Spice Room in Moreton in the Marsh was fab.
