“Great Tasting Chips”

The food is delicious, fresh and hot. Only 4 stars because the staff member didn't inform me of the time it would take for my toddlers meal. I understand that good food isn't instant and all is cooked fresh. However, the particular item I was waiting for sat for a good 6 minuets before the staff member started to pack my total order. It was quite frustrating trying to occupy a hungry 3 year old in a busy shop. The food I ordered was cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly, you can see your food being prepared and the hygiene standard is high.
It was very busy that evening and there was plenty of staff serving. I'll defiantly visit again but I'd like to see a bit more common sense when an item of food is cooked, especially for a child's meal, that its packed and served straight away.

Since they started mobile service they seem to have taken their eye off the ball. Our family have visited at least five times per month since they opened the shop. They were the best until a few months ago. Many new faces in the shop so may be down to staff training.
Fish is still good, batter tastes ok but looks bland/aneimic. Chips sometimes dry. Telephone orders forgotten on at least three occasions.
Please don't let standards drop. Be the best again.

The title says it all.But why oh why is there always such a long wait?Faffing around waiting forever to be served for a small bag of chips.
Okay,it's all supposed to be cooked from fresh, but there seems to be a policy here whereas they are cutting corners in a bid to maximise profits.
Scrimping on the salt & vinegar seems to be another ploy.As indeed with the pathetic curry sauce charged at £1.05 for a tiny pot.
Some serious issues here with the staff turnover & the customer speed of service.Otherwise miles better than the crappy Chilvers local chippy if you are prepared for the long wait.

We’ve been here twice and for some reason, although it’s practically empty and lots of staff, it takes ages to get your food. It is very pricey for what it is (which isn’t a lot) and pretty average food. I think we’ll go elsewhere as it isn’t worth the wait. The curry sauce is £1.05 for a tiny pot and you get about 10 chips in a standard portion!

I’d go elsewhere if you want a decent fish/sausage and chips!

Fish & chips here are great and service is friendly. Their only problem is, in their pursuit to cook freshly prepared food for everyone, you can wait as long as half an hour for your order. Service needs to be reviewed for busy periods.
