I stayed here for the weekend and found it a nice location for a break, with Simon, the co-owner giving a friendly welcome.
It's nicely decorated throughout and has all the comforts of home including a really well equipped kitchen and good wi-fi connection.
The beach is only a few seconds walk around the corner, which was great for seafront walks, even in our wintery so called spring this year !
I really liked the generous selection of teas, coffees and biscuit packets left for us and the free welcome pack with milk, eggs, etc made for a nice, lazy start to Saturday.
It was also good to be right in "1066 country" to visit the battle site and drive around the countryside.
There is also a museum in the town itself, about it's history, which was a quirky mixture of stuff, but really interesting.
A good selection of restaurants and cafe's around and on the first night had really nice fish and chips from the place across the road from the property.
For self caterers there are big supermarkets on the edge of town, but also one right near the station, only 5 mins walk away.
I've already started recommending this to anyone wanting a seaside break and would stay definitely stay there again myself.
