The service was fabulous. The waitress was a lovely friendly lady. We didn't wait long for our tasty cream tea at very reasonable price. Located right next to the Abbey. The chairs were comfortable and altogether a lovely experience. Thank you.

My partner had been here before and said the food was ok. He’s changed his mind since. After waiting an age for drinks food finally arrived. Tea cake for me (nothing else I could eat) and jacket potato for him which he said was ok. What was appalling apart from the time wait was the dreadful customer service of an elderly couple on the table next to us. They quite clearly order jackets one with beef chilli and one with cheese. The cheese arrived only it was tuna. The couple said that wasn’t what was ordered - eventually it was taken away with the waitress muttering ‘that’s what you ordered because that’s what I wrote down’. Rude does not begin to describe it. So the food is appalling and the service even worse - a tourist trap avoid

We just couldn't find anything special that caught our fancy so just had a sandwich each and it was mediocre. Nothing I couldn't make at home but I am guessing another choice would have been better. The ambiance is perfect here, the setting lovely. Probably worth stopping for a light drink of something on a hot day.

We stopped for Scones and a drink. The scones are out of this world and delish. We did feel that the jam and cream should be English and not French. Hubby had a lovely sausage sandwich but it was sliced brown bread and we think it should have been locally baked bread. It didn’t spoil what we had everything was lovely....but there’s always room for improvement and we’d happily paid a little more
