I'm quite confused by my experience staying at Briarfields. First of all I have to say Briarfields gets extra points already for being dog friendly. The staff were super and very friendly and accommodating, However the room myself and Husband were allocated was very stuffy, which was surprising considering the temperature was not particularly hot over our stay and the fan on the ceiling didn't help much. Our room was located right next to the main (busy road) so we couldn't even open the window because of the noise of the extreme super fast traffic whizzing past our heads (literally about two meters away!) I understand the hotel is some sort of converted Farm and it would defeat the purpose to move the buildings. But what annoys me slightly is that there seemed to be very little effort made to insulate guests from the sound of the road, or the other guests in the room above us.
Guests should be warned there is No Wifi in the rooms when booking. you can't gloss over facts like this. A note saying "Hey Norfolk has bad internet coverage, get used to it" or words to that effect isn't really good enough.
I was surprised to find no fridge in the room, that seemed a bit mean to me. The food was OK nothing amazing.More
