Everytime we come here we always go on the station and watch the trains. Now that they have resorted the train line over the main street is great. Great for the kids to watch....high recommend going to see.

A lovely station where you can sit on the benches and watch the steam and diesel trains come and go. There is a train cartridge on the opposite side that has been made up for children to play in and dress up absolutely lovely idea to keep little ones entertained, there is a cafe too which has had an extension so it's now a lot bigger and better, there's a bridge to take you over to the other side of platform which you get a great view of the trains from up there too....great day out and a must visit when in sheringham even if you don't fancy going on the train.

I love living in Sheringham can’t imagine living anywhere else, and the NN railway is one of the greatest parts of living here, we live opposite on the Cromer road and couldn’t imag8ne life without the noise of the trains steam and ordinary . Listing below about visit doesn’t really mean anything as I live here but suitable for all , friends couples singles, young children and teenagers alike.

The railway runs steam and diesel trains on a regular timetable to serve locals and tourists. It's steam trains have coaches with individual compartments, seating in rows and with two seats either side of a fixed table. They run special trips with food at various times and special interest trips periodically. We travelled from Holt to Sheringham on a steam train and back on a diesel. The staff are very helpful and professional in uniform, but we understand that all or most do it out of their interest in steam trains, rather than for pay.
The steam trains were surprisingly full and there were queues for tickets, we were pleased we had purchased in advance at our holiday site in Kelling Country Park. The trip we did to Sheringham was through lovely countryside with views to the sea for part. Sheringham itself was worth a visit as it has many places to eat, to suit all pockets and also had some lovely independent shops, as well as a beachfront. A good day out.
