I had read mixed reviews but honestly, I couldn’t fault this place.
Amy at reception was fantastic and the housekeeping staff member from PNG (sorry I did not get her name) was a standout .She was just delightful
I would suggest travellers speak directly to the helpful reception staff at this property to ensure they understand exactly what they are booking, and paying for. That way they are not disappointed when they arrive if the budget room booked on a site does not meet their expectations.

We loved our enormous one bedroom apartment .
It was clean, quiet, had a stylish decor and a great king sized bed.
We have stayed in a range of properties in Mission Beach and to be honest will only stay at Mission Beach Resort in future.

We experienced a great family stay at the Mission Beach Resort. After a long drive we were able to relax in the tropical surrounds and loved the comfortable bed.

It was also a very quiet setting.

Many thanks to Steve for making this such an enjoyable stay.

Good – generally clean and bed was comfortable but clearly dated.

Needs Improvement: -

- There was a card in the room which read ‘the wifi password is in your room’ and for further information contact reception. We had travelled all day, went for a drink and dinner, came home and looked high and low for password and reception shut at 7pm. Please consider how on earth a guest would get this information.

- I had to get up during the night and pull the fridge out of the electric socket. The racket from it (stuck in defrost mode for hours?) was crazy and non-stop. Sorry guys, not meaning to sound picky and how would you ever know, but the sleep was really poor.

- Whilst I understand previous guests have some responsibility to clean up after themselves, the staff has a responsibility to check. I won’t go on about but suffice to say the coffee cup I grabbed in the morning had been previously used and not cleaned (I have a photo but won’t post).

- We were told at dinner that breakfast would be at 7am. This fitted well with our timetable and we were there on the dot of 7. At 7.25am we called the person who was inside over and he said the waiter had not turned up for work. He let us in, he did a great job of serving us and we were grateful that at least someone was there. We imagine he is a chef – give him a pay rise as he did a great job, but it was a woeful look for the rest of the resort to have no one there to serve and no process in place.

Perhaps covid has impacted your operation guys, but there are simple things you could improve without cost to improve a traveller’s perception of an otherwise below average stay. Sorry.

Really surprised with our room for the price. It was a suite. Worth the extra 20. Spa and all. Room 103 in the tea tree section. Reception staff great. Three pools sliding doors out to them. Only let down was the food at the resort. They are aware of this.

Room tip: All rooms ground floor. Comfortable beds.

Paid 192 a NIGHT for a studio room for 3 people. The room absolutely stunk like mould, had dead bugs in the shower and was probably comparable to what you’d get paying half the price to stay at a hostel. Beyond disappointing and nothing like the photos online.
