One of my Peninsula favourites. Although hidden away this gem serves up delightful fresh morsels that are always good. On a nice day breakfast out the front is a pleasure.
Very simply, good food and coffee is a recipe for success.
Definitely recommend.

We were so glad to come across this place, while we were staying in Rye for a week. It may be away from town, but that's also an advantage in and of itself. We're a fan of all their pies (the pastry is amazing), and also love the vanilla slice - delicious custard filling, rich and pastry stays crisp, doesn't go soggy. The cinnamon scroll is also delish. We were looking for a birthday cake made to order and it did not disappoint. We were so happy with the final product, which was a tall butter cake, with a raspberry and chocolate ganache and meringues on top. And such a reasonable price too. It does get busy at breakfast time on the weekends, but truly, can't fault it.

I’ve been coming on and off to the Peninsula Pantry for 5 years. It’s located off the main Melbourne Rd in the backstreets and is a converted Milk Bar. The pantry is quite small inside despite the enormous building that it sits within. Hence on Saturday or Sunday morning it can get quite crowded inside. There are 4 or 5 small tables outside. The cafe is quite well known for its quality foods and coffee. In particular they make their salads, slices, quiches, tarts, danish pastries all on site. All part of the Peninsula experience. Dog friendly as well.

We often stop for lunch or to pick up treats. Delicious home made food, especially the pastries. Chocolate eclairs are best ever. We know it’s a no go on Tuesdays when closed or after 4pm. Coffees are always of excellent standard.

We have been to peninsula pantry quite a few times over the last couple of years. Our first visit the food was great, the coffee was awesome and nice friendly staff.
It seems to have gone really down hill, we went there today the staff are rude the food was terrible I would say days old, even the coffee was awful. Never going back, absolute rip off.
