A remarkable place to visit, particularly if you are familiar with Dr. James Herriot and his veterinary work in the region.

Allow at least ninety minutes for your trip to this attraction, especially if you have children. There are so many interactive items for them to get involved in. Fascinating and informative insight into the life and times of the Yorkshire vet.

What a great museum this is, a great look back at the great James Herriot. This was one of our main reasons for our break away in Yorkshire and we were not disappointed. There is plenty to see and lots of information, all the staff are really helpful. We spent about 2 Hours here. There is no cafe but there is a vending machine.
Well worth a visit

Then this is a visit you must make.It takes you right there! the furniture, the toys, the books, even the silver tankard on the mantle-piece in which the vets stuffed thier payments. The kitchen and living rooms, just as we have seen them on tv ,really enjoyable,

What an amazing museum, definitely one of the best I have been to and wonderful for all ages. It is so well laid out and explained, beautifully light and clean making it so easy to see and appreciate all the exhibits. Another bonus is that if you keep your ticket you can pop out for lunch or a coffee in the town and resume your visit, you will probably want to spend a couple of hours there to see everything.
