Third visit this year and have to confess I was disappointed with the quality of the Fathers Day lunch. Price elevated to include a 2 course lunch but not worth it I think.
The roast lunch, carvery, consisted of quantity but lacked quality. Roast potatoes, I believe, were frozen. Dessert lacking in taste, roulade and cheese cake lacking in taste, were they frozen?
On a positive the staff were polite and helpful.

Had a satisfying Sunday carvery at the end of a long day's walking. Beef was good and vegetables tasty. Plenty of other customers which suggests it is a popular place.

We were recommended this pub by where we were staying. The Sunday carvery was delicious. Lovely friendly service, good prices and desserts were fab too. Highly recommended.

My friend and I called in for Sunday lunch as we were passing. Well worth it. We hadn't booked but they managed to squeeze us in. So booking is advisable. We were greeted by lovely, friendly staff. The carvery was just fantastic. A selection of meats, loads of veg and my favourite crispy crackling. There were a selection of desserts but I was too full to try! Maybe next time. Certainly worth a visit.
