Well... what a discovery! Stunning handmade pasta here in a beautiful restaurant featuring local artwork too. I had a wonderful tagliatelle ragu with mouthwatering pasta and just the right amount of sauce... not too much, not too little. Delicious. Very good value. Excellent, friendly service. I'd love to see a simple minestrone (or similar) soup on the appetiser menu though. I'm lucky that this restaurant is literally 3 minutes from my front door in Hailsham so it's going to become my "local". I look forward to many future visits.

To start the service was slow and with out care, with our drinks (just being tap water) taking 15 minutes to reach us. When our food arrived, mine being the ham and mushroom pizza, it was obvious the toppings had just been put on top and not cooked with the pizza. However, this wasn’t the issue, the issue was what looked and tasted like cheap, packet ham. This doesn’t match the 9.95 price tag. We were finally asked how our food was as we left, we said it was very average but the waitress didn’t seem to care and walked off.

We booked a table to celebrate my and my wife's birthday - first day out since the lockdown.
We were basically ignored and had to keep asking for our drinks to be filled.
After 50 minutes and no starters, they told us they gave our starters to someone else and would make some more. 20 minutes later we get them.

Main meal then took another 30 minutes after that. It was not up to standard, we ate half each and left (no left overs taken).

We will never go back there again....

We have recently tried this new place for an outside visit while visiting friends and both food and service was great, you can tell they really try hard to make the whole dining experience special and with a home made touch, many thanks David

Today my friend and I visited Romeo and Juliets for the first time, sitting in their delightful courtyard garden. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. We were only going to have a hot drink but we’re tempted to share a Nutella and strawberry pizza. It was delicious. We saw food being served to other customers which made us think we will soon be back there for a meal. A much welcome restaurant to Hailsham.
