“Disappointed”
Reviewed 20 December 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Youlgreave is a stunning village , with picturesque walks on the door step and good 3 good home cooking pub restaurants. An excellent base for visiting the Peak District.
The property is well located with roadside parking. However it is in need of some updating. Especially the bathroom, a cold room with no heating , no blind at the window and a shower over the bath which trickles our.
Also needs instructions leaving in the property which all other properties we’ve stayed in have had
eg WI FI code and local useful phone numbers eg to book local restaurants .

“Wonderful English Cottage”
Reviewed 7 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

What a treat. Set in the small village of Youlgreave, Penny Pint is a delight. We arrived to freshly baked sponge cake (filled with local jam). Parking is right by the door, and directions to find the cottage were accurate and easy to understand. Meticulously maintained and clean, excellent kitchen, comfortable beds and lots of ambience from the birds and allotments close by. If you want to avoid towns, hotels etc this is a great option. Loved it. Highly recommended.

“Walkers Paradise”
Reviewed 8 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Was wonderful to walk into Penny Pint and see flowers in a vase and truly excellent home make Victoria sponge. What could be better.........the views, maybe, amazing.

Can recommend the Farm Yard PH for very generous helpings of well cooked food. Glad we had walked up there!

We did enjoy the walks, from the cottage, in the booklet kindly provided by Chris and Margaret. Lovely couple.

“Perfect cottage holiday”
Reviewed 19 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We were really impressed with the warm and generous welcome from Nagarita and Chris. The cottage is cosy, comfortable, clean and peaceful. Youlgreave is a beautiful, traditional Derbyshire village and we enjoyed great food and excellent ale at the Farmyard Inn and the George Hotel. It is an ideal base for walking, with Lathkill Dale and the River Bradford close by and many stunning walks to be had.
