“Lovely and Well Appointed Cottage”
Reviewed 28 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed in Apple Tree Cottage on the weekend of September 25th to 27th 2015. There was only my wife and I, so there was ample room. The cottage is clean, comfortable and very well appointed. It has a host of mod cons and wi-fi to make your stay even more comfortable. There is off the street parking and The Farmyard Inn is literally just across the road. The accommodation caters for the kind of holiday we like. You get there, you park the car and that's exactly where it stays until you leave. There's lots of local walks on your doorstep. The Farmyard Inn and Bulls Head Hotel are within easy walking distance.

“Great little find! ”
Reviewed 7 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Me and boyfriend stayed here from the 3-6th September and it was the perfect break from the busy city life. I recommend Buxton and Bakewell as great little towns to visit as well as some lovely walks in the area. The farmyard inn is a great place to eat but recommended booking as it is quite small but the food is superb, with it being right across the road, it's not very far to walk for a lovely alcoholic beverage.

The bed in this cottage is ridiculously comfy, one day I didn't get out of it until midday!! The cottage had great facilities such as free wifi and a TV including a film4 channel which was perfect for a movie night in. The kitchen has everything you need, we even made a cake whilst we were staying here.

A great little cottage and me and my boyfriend will most definitely be returning for a second visit! :)

“Beautiful, perfectly situated cottage.”
Reviewed 22 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Wow! What a perfect little cottage for two in the Peak District. The cottage is lovely and very clean with plenty of space for a couple. There is a nice area to sit outside and have a BBQ which we took full advantage of! The view is spectacular and the surroundings are beautiful when you get exploring. I'd highly recommend the Monsal Trail just a ten minute drive away and also the picturesque walk through Dovedale, ideal for strenuous hikes or just a short stroll to see the views!
Just a little tip, we arrived Wednesday afternoon and all of the local shops were closed! Make sure you grab any last minute dairy or meat shopping you will need in one of the local towns to avoid disappointment.
I would definitely recommend this cottage, Irene was lovely and left us to our own devices but came to visit us before we set off to check all was well which of course it was. If you're lucky you might even get a visit from her lovely cat Marjorie! Happy holidaying :)
